Custom Tug Boat Plaque

This Project started as a photograph provided by a client. as Birthday present for the Captain of the vessel. I spoke to the client at length in order to determine design options. I then created a design proposal. After editing details, construction began. The client was provided updates and photos throughout the construction process. This allowed for any changes to be made and added detailing. The project consists of 5 separate species of exotic and domestic hardwoods. Each of the woods were chosen for specific characteristics and color.

Custom Fireman' Box

This Project was a theme project. Whereas the customer wanted to have a jewelry box designed for  a firefighter. The customer wanted to incorporate woods that were red and black, with a monogrammed lid. I drew up some design sketches and began the construction after approval.

Additional detailing included not only the captain's name on the frame, but also the name on the vessel, with each letter less than 1/4", and hand cut.

The client was provided updated pictures of the project through various phases of construction, allowing for any changes the client requested.

Additional detailing included scroll sawn firefighters on the front and wooden ladders on the side for the box handles.

Interior was constructed of cedar, and felt lined. While the carcass was black Walnut with Padouk, Lacewood and Wenge wood for the detailing.
